We work on All Major Brands

Let’s face it, you spent a lot of money on your home appliances. You want them to last forever. But eventually they will break down.

The older they get, the more prone to breakdown they become. Household appliances are not made to last decades anymore, the manufacturer wants you to replace them every 8-10 years or so.

The good news is that repairs are usually more economically feasible than replacement. If the repair costs less than 50% of a new appliance, and that appliance is less than 8 years old then please repair it.

A repair is more environmentally friendly, less costly to you the homeowner, and yes, it generates business for us. If your appliance costs less than $200, then it wasn’t made to be repaired. Recycle it and get a new one.

As far as extended warranties go, we are not a fan for several reasons. They are very pricey to the customer, and are often not necessary. Plus these warranty companies want firms like ours to accept very little money to do their work for them.

The one item that we do recommend getting an extended warranty on is a large screen TV. If you are spending a thousand dollars or more on that TV then go and get an extended warranty on it, one that is for 4 or 5 years. BUT DON’T BUY IT FROM THE STORE, they are overpriced.

Amazon and Square Trade sell third-party extended warranties so check them out. Many credit cards and even some stores double the manufacturer’s warranty for free. Here are Visa’sMasterCard’sDiscover’s, and AmEx’s pages on the subject.

We do not do Warranty work on appliances because it is not profitable to us.
Blame the Warranty Companies as they set the prices for repairs.
